Membracide Géant

Limestone, 2015 (95-45-60 cm).

Membracids, insects belonging to the order Hemiptera, otherwise known as humpbacked or spiny cicadas. They are easily distinguished from other insects of the same order by their pronotum outgrowth, which is the part between the head and the abdomen and forms a large, complex structure in the shape of horns, hooks, fans, ridges or made up of balls.

Mantis spasmes

Temps du rêve

"Dreamtime" is a series of sculptures comprising several half-faces emerging from the ground, with an imaginary development in the hair. As well as "Mantis spasme", combining the metamorphosis of an insect abdomen, into a mask, as well as a human figure, perhaps asleep, fragmented... Small pieces made in soapstone (steatite), 2018.

"Imaginary Itinerary" Project, Duel/Dance/Saint George/Dragon
The subject is related to the name of the town of the "Relais du Bois de St Georges" in Saintes.
This is not a classic representation of the famous Catholic martyr victorious over the forces of evil embodied by the Dragon.
At first glance, it is more of a bare-handed duel, the outcome of which one might wonder.
It could certainly be an allegory of struggle...
But beyond the duel, it could also be a form of dance.
To invoke the duty of connection and respect between humanity and nature.
In the new era of the dwelling in which we live...
